Snow Day Fun! ❄️ Pender County Schools are closed on Monday, so let’s make the most of this winter wonderland! We want to see your best snow pictures—whether it’s building snowmen, sledding, or just enjoying the frosty views. Share your photos using #PCSSnow26, and we might feature our favorites! 📸☃️

Huge shout-out to these awesome ladies who prepared meals to be sent home with our students!

Dear Pender County Schools Families,
Because of the expected winter weather across our area this weekend, Pender County Schools will have a “snow day” on Monday, February 2nd.
A decision regarding Tuesday’s schedule will be announced at a later date to allow us to check on facilities and travel conditions. Teachers will prepare their students for the possibility of a remote learning day, we ask that families be prepared as well. Announcements will be made using our normal channels.
Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. Be safe, have fun, and stay warm!

Nothing better than getting lost in a good book.

In this exciting unit, the 21st CCLC students, in partnership with the Science Alliance of Eastern NC, will explore how plants and animals live and work together in different ecosystems. We’ll build a food web, investigate animal diets, and even move like animals to understand how they survive! Students will discover the wonders of life cycles, learn about plant and animal adaptations, and create a fun insect model to take home.

1st grade hard at work practicing Oral Reading Fluency.

The 3rd graders of the 21st CCLC program are learning their multiplication facts using a multiplication chart. This chart helps students recognize number patterns, build fluency, and develop problem-solving skills. By exploring rows and columns, students actively engage with math in a visual and interactive way.

Ms. Hamilton's class brought the winter vibe inside and made snow!

You're Invited to The 4th Annual Cupid Cub Ball.

Mrs. Johnson’s class has wrapped up their Building Study at-Home project, and the results were incredible! Students brought in a wide variety of creative structures, including a hospital, a toy store, a cottage, Cape Fear Elementary School, a castle, and even a trampoline park—just to name a few. The creativity, effort, and teamwork shown by both the students and their families were truly amazing!
