Tomorrow Let's Spread Some Holiday Cheer Day 3 is Ugly Sweater Day

Attendance is important to us at Cape Fear Elementary School.
Every day a student is absent or tardy is a lost opportunity for learning. It reduces the teacher's ability to provide learning opportunities and students miss out on consistent instruction that is needed to develop basic skills. Here is what we are doing to help ensure all students attend school.

Reminder: Wednesday, December 20th is a half day for students. We will dismiss school at 11:30am.

First grade students got to participate in a fun science experiment with help from some kind middle schoolers! They were making Christmas Ornaments out of pipe cleaners to dip into Boric Acid and form crystals!

To celebrate the holidays Mrs. Hollifield's class celebrated with an American West Christmas! Boys made cowboy hats and girls made bonnets. We made quilt squares, Native American ornaments and log cabins.

Tomorrow Let's Spread Some Holiday Cheer Day 2 is Pajama Day!

Ms. Sarsony and her first grade class have started a school wide recycling project. They have been learning all about what it means to be a good citizen and taking care of our planet is part of that.

Congratulations to the winners of the K-2 Science Fair.
