April, the Program Director for Veterinary Medical Technology at CFCC, brought her dog Jemma in. Jemma is a 6yr old Newfoundland that she rescued from the Pender County Animal Shelter. Using Jemma, students were able to walk through a physical exam of a dog.

Students in 7th grade science finished their human body unit by dissecting frogs. After dissection was complete, students then compared the organ systems found in frogs to organ systems found in humans. Hands on learning for the win!
