We hope everyone had a restful and refreshing Spring Break! We are excited to welcome all students back to campus on Monday, April 13th.
This upcoming week is WPMS Staff Appreciation Week, and we invite our families and students to join us in celebrating the incredible teachers and support staff who show up every day for our children with dedication and care. Small gestures go a long way in showing appreciation. Here are a few simple, low-cost ideas:
A handwritten thank-you note or card
A quick email or message of appreciation
Student-drawn pictures or artwork
A small classroom donation such as tissues, Clorox wipes, or hand sanitizer
Homemade treats or a favorite snack
A verbal “thank you” that comes straight from the heart
Our staff works tirelessly to support our students each day—let’s take this opportunity to show them how much they are valued and appreciated.
This Tuesday and Wednesday, students will take their iReady Reading End-of-Year assessment. Please help them come prepared by ensuring they get a good night’s rest and arrive with fully charged Chromebooks. This assessment provides valuable insight into student growth and helps guide end-of-year instruction and state testing preparation.
Beginning Monday, May 4th, we will implement a new traffic pattern for morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. This is the first of several communications you will receive regarding this change—no adjustments will take place until May 4th.
Story Seekers Summer Camp is also open for registration! This program gives students the opportunity to explore reading in a fun, book-club style environment. Permission slips were sent home on Thursday. Spots are limited and filling quickly—if you need another copy, please let us know or access it here.
