Important Reminders
Districtwide Job Shadow Day – Friday, February 27, 2026
Pender County Schools is excited to offer a districtwide Job Shadow Day supporting career exploration, workforce development, and real-world learning experiences.
Last year, more than 700 students participated, and we’re looking forward to an even greater impact this year. Students in grades 7–12 may shadow a professional in a career field of interest—either in person or virtually—and earn an excused educational opportunity absence.
Student Participation Requirements
Secure a job shadow placement with a family member, family friend, or business contact (virtual options are available)
Complete the Job Shadow Parent/Student Agreement
Submit the completed agreement to the school counselor by Friday, February 20, 2026
Join the Job Shadow Day Google Classroom (Code: w337uydp)
Attend the experience and take a photo with the host/mentor
Complete the post-experience Google Form in the Classroom and upload the photo for attendance verification
Snowball Dance – Friday, January 30
WPMS PTO is hosting this year’s Snowball Dance, a winter-themed social event for students featuring music, dancing, and snacks.
Time: 3:00–5:00 PM
Cost: $5.00 (includes one snack and drink)
Pickup: Car rider area by 4:45 PM
T-Shirts for Sale:

House shirts – $20.00

We continue to emphasize clear expectations and positive choices across campus.

School Reassignment Information (2026–2027): In an effort to accommodate family preferences within Pender County Schools, the reassignment request period for the 2026–2027 school year is now open.
Application opens: January 5, 2026
Deadline: February 28, 2026
Families wishing to enroll their child in a school outside of their designated zone (excluding Pender Early College and Pender Innovative Learning Academy) may apply using the appropriate form:
House Shirts Still Available: We still have house shirts available for purchase! Cost: $20.00 Students may purchase during their lunch period.
