Good evening, Warrior Families—this is Principal Garza with your Weekly Warrior Message. Tomorrow, Monday, January, 19th, there is no school for staff and students in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. When we return on Tuesday, we remind all parents to ensure that students come properly dressed for school. Our NC weather can be unpredictable and we want our students to be comfortable and warm, especially when engaged in outdoor activities during P.E. and recess.

Important Reminders: Students will take the Math NC Check-in this Wednesday. Please ensure students arrive on time and bring a fully charged Chromebook each day this week. Students will leave their Chromebook and chargers on campus Tuesday in order to be fully prepared for testing Wednesday.

School Reassignment Information (2026–2027): In an effort to accommodate family preferences within Pender County Schools, the reassignment request period for the 2026–2027 school year is now open.
Application opens: January 5, 2026
Deadline: February 28, 2026
Families wishing to enroll their child in a school outside of their designated zone (excluding Pender Early College and Pender Innovative Learning Academy) may apply using the appropriate form:
House Shirts Still Available: We still have house shirts available for purchase! Cost: $20.00 Students may purchase during their lunch period. Your purchase of a house shirt supports our PTO!
Athletic Updates
We have two home games this week: Tuesday and Thursday come out and support our girls basketball team and boys soccer team. Admission is $5.00 Soccer begins at 4:15PM and basketball begins at 4:30PM.

January 30: School Dance – Snow Ball, sponsored by PTO ($5 admission) Admission includes one snack and drink. T-shirts will be available for purchase at the dance (Warrior shirts for $10.00 and House shirts for $20.00)
