We have one more week until our winter break. The House of Altruismo will be sponsoring a holiday spirit week this week. Please click the link in our Sunday message to bring the spirit of the House of Givers. Students can earn house points for participating.
After reviewing the responses to the participation link shared in last week’s Sunday Message we will be cancelling our STEAM Night this week.
Students will be receiving the House T-Shirts that were ordered prior to Thanksgiving Break. If students would still like to purchase a T-Shirt we have some extras for $20.
We would like to share that Dr. Jordan will be leaving her role as Assistant Principal to take on a new position as a PCS AIG Coach. While she is excited about this next chapter, she will truly miss the West Pender community. We wish Dr. Jordan the very best of luck as she begins this new opportunity. Her last day at West Pender will be Wednesday, December 17.
Attendance Update
Last week’s attendance rates were:
6th Grade: 92%
7th Grade: 89%
8th Grade: 90%
We’re proud of our Warriors who are showing up ready to learn each day. Strong attendance is the foundation of success—every Warrior, every day! Let’s aim even higher this week.
Behavior Referrals
At WPMS, we believe in setting clear expectations and supporting positive choices. While our teachers work hard to redirect and guide students, sometimes an administrative referral becomes necessary.
This week, our office referral numbers were slightly higher - we want to see these numbers decrease this week:
6th Grade: 4
7th Grade: 4
8th Grade: 3
We need your partnership to help reinforce what acceptable behavior looks like at school. Please take a moment to talk with your student about making respectful, responsible choices in the classroom and around campus. When home and school work together, our students rise to the occasion—and our learning environment stays focused, safe, and positive.
