Weekly Warrior Message 11/30/2025

We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful holiday break. We are excited to welcome our students back and get into the swing of things for the month of December. As the weather gets colder, please make sure students come to school with appropriate outerwear for outdoor activities. If your family is in need of any cold-weather gear, please reach out—we are happy to help.

WPMS will host Family STEAM Night on Thursday, December 18th from 5–7 PM. We will offer a variety of hands-on activities in the gym building, and dinner will be served for the whole family. Our students will begin the i-Ready Math Diagnostic this Friday. We use this assessment to monitor student progress and determine how well they are growing so far this school year. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s rest and to try their very best. Results from this assessment help us make decisions about intervention schedules, which may impact a student’s daily routine if they need additional academic support.

Attendance Update

Last week’s attendance rates were:

6th Grade: 90%
7th Grade: 93%
8th Grade: 82%

We’re proud of our Warriors who are showing up ready to learn each day. Strong attendance is the foundation of success—every Warrior, every day! Let’s aim even higher this week.

Behavior Referrals

At WPMS, we believe in setting clear expectations and supporting positive choices. While our teachers work hard to redirect and guide students, sometimes an administrative referral becomes necessary.

We need your partnership to help reinforce what acceptable behavior looks like at school. Please take a moment to talk with your student about making respectful, responsible choices in the classroom and around campus.
