Weekly Warrior Message 11/23/2025

Hello Warrior Families, We have several important updates to share this week:

Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful for all of our students, families, and community members that help make West Pender as incredible as it is day in and day out! As a reminder students will not come to campus Wednesday through Friday. We hope everyone has a safe and filling holiday break!

For parents that signed up ahead of time for the Family Feast Day, thank you! We look forward to seeing you and enjoying a meal with you. Please plan to arrive with enough time to check in to our front office with your ID and bring exact cash ($7) to purchase your lunch from the cafeteria. To ensure that we are able to get you to the cafeteria in enough time, please arrive no later than:

6th Grade 11:00 for lunch between 11:16-11:41

7th Grade- 11:15 for lunch between 11:36-12:01

8th Grade- 11:40 for lunch between 11:50-12:15

Attendance Update

Last week’s attendance rates were:

6th Grade: 92%
7th Grade: 92%
8th Grade: 88%

We’re proud of our Warriors who are showing up ready to learn each day. Strong attendance is the foundation of success—every Warrior, every day! Let’s aim even higher this week.

Behavior Referrals

At WPMS, we believe in setting clear expectations and supporting positive choices. While our teachers work hard to redirect and guide students, sometimes an administrative referral becomes necessary.

This week, our referral numbers were higher than we expect for a productive learning environment:

6th Grade: 5
7th Grade: 5
8th Grade: 1

We need your partnership to help reinforce what acceptable behavior looks like at school. Please take a moment to talk with your student about making respectful, responsible choices in the classroom and around campus. When home and school work together, our students rise to the occasion—and our learning environment stays focused, safe, and positive.
