The band had a record 43 students audition for All-District Honor Band. We had a record 26 of 43 students receive chair or alternate chair placements, and 6 receive a ticket to all-state auditions! These students will participate in the all-district honor band clinic at ECU.

💲💰Budget was the topic of the day during the second Superintendent's Student Advisory Council meeting at Topsail High School. It was enlightening 💡 to hear how student's felt money should be allocated, what we're doing right and wrong. #ExperienceTheExcellence

Congratulations to our Science Department! The department was granted almost $5,000 through a Bright Ideas Grant. We are proud of our science departments dedication in getting our THS students what they need to be successful!!

Our THS adaptive students got to experience a field trip last week. They had the opportunity to travel to Dollar Tree and do some Holiday shopping. For our students, this was educational as we have been working on budgeting and purchasing. An amazing person stopped the class and gave $50 to one of the assistants to use on our students. What a wonderful act of kindness this holiday season that we are very grateful for!! Our students had an amazing time and got to purchase some amazing gifts for their classmates when we play "white elephant" before Holiday break.

Please congratulate our THS Competition Cheer team on their performance this past Saturday at the NCHSAA State Cheerleading Invitational. The Gold Team won a State Title in their division, beating the second place team by only 0.5 points! The Black team placed 2nd in their division with their best performance yet! These ladies have worked so hard since summer on their routines and we are so proud of them!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported them and has helped during their fundraisers!
