HAMPSTEAD, NC — Topsail High School is proud to announce Keith Moore as its new Athletic Director. Moore brings more than 30 years of experience in education-based athletics, along with a proven record of leadership, mentorship, and program development.
From 2001 to 2021, Moore served as Athletic Director at New Hanover High School, where he helped build strong, competitive athletic programs and contributed to nine team or individual state championships. Prior to his work in administration, he was an accomplished baseball coach, leading North Brunswick High School to a state championship in 1996 and later guiding New Hanover High School’s baseball program from 1998 to 2001.
Throughout his career, Moore has been known for his dedication to student-athlete growth, leadership, and sportsmanship. He is passionate about fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork at Topsail High School.
“I am excited about being at Topsail High School for this next chapter in my career,” Moore said. “I look forward to working with student-athletes, coaches, administration, faculty, and the community. This is a great opportunity for all of us to move forward together as a team in the same direction.”
Moore is married to his wife, Jill, a retired middle school teacher. They have two children, Brantley, owner of Lumina Blue Properties, and Mary Suzanne, a recent graduate of Cape Fear Community College’s nursing program.
