SURF CITY, N.C. — It was a historic and exciting evening for the Sharks as both the girls basketball team and the boys soccer team from Surf City Middle School captured the Pender County Schools Middle School District Championships on Wednesday, March 4.
The championship victories marked an incredible accomplishment for the student-athletes, coaches, and the entire Surf City Middle School community. With packed stands and high energy throughout the night, the Sharks delivered outstanding performances on both the court and the field.
The girls basketball team demonstrated determination, teamwork, and relentless defense as they battled their way to the district title. Their effort throughout the season culminated in a championship performance that showcased their skill, discipline, and commitment to one another.
The boys soccer team took the field and continued the celebration, securing their own district championship. The Sharks displayed exceptional teamwork, strategic play, and composure under pressure to bring home the title.
School leaders praised the dedication of the athletes and the leadership of the coaching staff who guided the teams throughout the season.
