My name is Guenevere Boney and I am exhilarated to be the assistant principal at Penderlea Elementary School. One of my favorite quotes: “Unity is strength...when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.”  Mattie J.T. Stepanek

I am a native of Rose Hill, North Carolina. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from Winston Salem State University. I received my teacher certification from East Carolina University. I also obtained my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Elizabeth City State University.

In my 20 years of being an educator in Lenoir County, I have had the opportunity to teach middle school students and high school students. I was the advisor of several Career Technical Education clubs and the women’s golf coach.

As a lifelong learner, my hope is that my efforts will inspire every student at Penderlea Elementary School to reach for the stars. My vision is to serve the Penderlea Family by establishing trust and relationships with all stakeholders and supporting the staff to excel to their highest potential. Alongside the staff and the stakeholders, we will work together positively, safely, and effectively to navigate our students’ to achieving success. I encourage parents and the community to join me in providing a supportive climate and culture of excellence by actively participating in their child’s educational experience. I look forward to an awesome school year!
