We are so excited to celebrate young children and their families with hands-on, collaborative activities encouraging movement and healthy lifestyles through music, food, and art.
Music Monday: When children sing, dance, and listen to music, they develop their language and early literacy skills while being active and encouraging movement. Our Read Across America activity at the public library featured 10 activities from our Studies and revolved around the book Emile and the Field. Each activity had take-home cards for families to be able to do the activity at home!
February Is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Keep your child's mouth healthy:
Brush with fluoride toothpaste twice a day.
Drink water throughout the day.
Limit foods and drinks with added sugar.
Visit a dentist by age 1.
Cape Fear Elementary was our final woodworking event yesterday. Lots and lots of family members were there for the event and family meeting. Thank you so much for your participation!
South Topsail's woodworking event last Friday had a great turn out of family members to assist their child in creating butterfly houses or bird feeders. Such great family engagement!
