This week, we kick off our final spirit week as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with a daily mindfulness challenge. Monday- Dress up like a superhero! Wear your favorite superhero's logo to show your school pride! The challenge for this day is: Who in your life has been a real-life superhero? Tuesday- PJ Day! Wear some comfortable, school-appropriate pajamas! The challenge for this day is: What is your favorite way to relax? Wednesday- Wacky Tacky Fashion Day! Wear mismatching socks, clashing patterns, or downright silly clothes. The challenge for this day is: What or who always makes you laugh? Thursday- Wear green for Mental Health Awareness! Green is the color for Mental Health Awareness month. Support this by wearing any type of green. The prompt for this day is: What do you do to calm yourself down? Friday- Wear teal to celebrate your PILA pride! Wear our school color to show off your school spirit. The prompt for this day is: What makes you proud to be a PILA Otter?

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! PILA is super grateful to have Mrs. Norma Kerr on the team! She is one the most caring, devoted, and hardworking team members. When families arrive that are always greeted with a warm smile from Mrs. Kerr. Mrs. Kerr is truly a rockstar!

Community Partnership Spotlight This afternoon, middle school students were able to show appreciation to one of our community partners. Each week, our middle school students pack backpacks that are distributed to different schools across the county. The Ladies in Action Lifegroup from Northside Church have been helping to supply food for the school pantry to help support the backpack buddies program. Community service is an important part of the school culture at PILA. It is important to show appreciation and help others in our community. We are so grateful for the partnership with the Ladies in Action and their generous support to help close the food insecurity gaps!
