As we continue our 12 Days of Holiday Fun countdown, yesterday’s Grinch Day did not disappoint! The halls were full of Grinches—everywhere you looked there was a splash of green and lots of smiles. Our students and staff truly embraced the fun and festive spirit. What a joyful day at MCE! 🦅✨

What a wonderful evening! We enjoyed an amazing performance tonight from our 3rd–5th grade students, beautifully directed by Mrs. Barnes. Our talented Eagles sang and danced, showcasing their hard work and incredible talent. Families were treated to a truly tremendous show, and it was such a joyful way to head into the holiday break. We are so proud of our students and grateful to everyone who helped make this night so special! 🦅✨

Bus 276 now has a driver, and students who ride this bus will leave campus on time this afternoon.
Students that ride 262 will remin at school until 4:30PM awaiting pickup. If you can make arrangements for your student please do so.

Our BETA Club wrapped up their service project this afternoon, and the socks are officially on their way to Pender Christian Services! 👏🧦
A special thank you to Cindy Rivenbark, a board member at Pender Christian Services, for collecting the donations and delivering them on our behalf. Our students did an incredible job, collecting over 400 pairs of socks to support those in need.

Mrs. Boerigters class won the November Math Challenge and had a shaving cream party in their classroom. Mrs. West brought the shaving cream and the students brought the imagination and fun! Drawing their names, math problems, and pictures! The best part was all the desks were sparkling clean afterwards!!
🎄 Day 6 of the 12 Days of Holiday Fun did not disappoint!
Today was all about festive socks, and our Eagles came ready to shine. From bright colors to fun patterns, our hallways were full of stylish, cheerful socks that added an extra spark to the day. We loved seeing our Eagles strutting confidently and showing off their holiday spirit. MCE continues to spread joy one festive step at a time! 🧦✨
Eagle families, we will resume afterschool tutoring after the holiday break, and we’re excited to open it up for even more Eagles to join us! As a reminder, there will be no afterschool tutoring today. All students should go home on their regular transportation. Thank you all for your continued participation and support of our tutoring program!
Day 5 of our 12 Days of Holiday Fun did not disappoint! The halls were filled with so many festive characters—reindeer, Mrs. Claus, Mr. Claus, and countless others spreading joy. Our Eagles truly brought the holiday spirit to life, making the hallways cheerful, bright, and full of excitement. We love seeing our students and staff join in the fun each day!
🌟 Tonight at the Pender County Board Meeting, Mrs. Barnes and our talented 4th and 5th grade students put on an absolutely wonderful performance!
Our Eagles proudly led the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, sang the Star-Spangled Banner, and closed with a beautiful rendition of Carol of the Bells. 🎶
