4th Grade students in Mrs. Robinson's class created a Gallery Walk by identifying the main idea in "The Circulatory Story" by Mary Corcoran. They created a poster paraphrasing the main idea, and explained how figurative language helps you understand concepts in reading. Mrs.Hulon's 4th grade Social Studies class wrapped up their first unit on NC Geography with a hands-on salt dough map project! Students followed a recipe, sculpted the NC State shape, and labeled the 3 NC regions. #LearningIsBetterWhenWeAreTogether

-We can’t wait to see everyone at our Curriculum Night this Thursday. The book fair will be open from 3:30-4:30. We will have a parent information session in the gym and then families will have the opportunity to go to the classrooms and learn about all of the exciting things happening this school year and how to be involved with our school.

Urgent Message for our Kindergarten students that received a Final Notice Letter for Immunizations:. Beginning Sept 25th students will be excluded from school as per state law for not having up-to-date immunization records. For your convenience, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services provides a comprehensive guide to immunization requirements. Parents with questions or concerns about immunizations are encouraged to contact the school nurse or the health services department.
Pender County Schools has moved from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus for the Student Information System (SIS). Pender County Schools will be utilizing Infinite Campus (the new SIS) to complete certain updates required at the start of the school year for access to grades, attendance and other updates throughout the year. To request access to your Parent Portal Credentials, please complete the google form found HERE. This is for PARENTS and GUARDIANS ONLY. You only need to provide information for ONE student (Your Oldest Student) to receive parent portal access for all students. Once you create your account, you will be able to add/view your other student(s) information. ONLY COMPLETE THE FORM ONCE. This will avoid confusion and will provide a quicker process to release letters. Please allow 24-48 hours to process your request as the information provided must and will be verified before the letters are sent to families.
Progress Reports go home Tuesday. Once everything in IC is stable, we will also send home additional student information within the next couple of weeks.
