Our 3rd Grade Panthers in Ms. Jones’ class were putting their mathematical thinking to work during Eureka Math²! 🐾➗📚
During Module 1, Lesson 15: Model Division as an Unknown Factor Problem, Ms. Jones guided students through connecting their background knowledge to a new division skill. Students were actively engaged, participating in mathematical discussions, sharing their thinking, and making meaningful connections throughout the lesson.
We love seeing our Panthers build on what they already know to tackle new and challenging concepts! 💙💛

A huge Panther shout-out to our Instructional Coach, Mrs. Tidler, for facilitating our Literacy Hub Training during Tuesday PLCs!
During the training, teachers strengthened their understanding of how to analyze student data, identify specific instructional needs, and use the Literacy Hub to select appropriate resources to support their students.

On September 11, 2001, thousands of lives were lost, families were forever changed, and first responders answered an unimaginable call.
Today, Pender County Schools pauses to remember those who died, honor those who served and sacrificed in the years that followed, and recognize the families and communities who continue to carry the impact of that day.
For our students, September 11 is history. It is our responsibility to help them understand why we remember.

Tomorrow, Friday, September 11, we invite all students and staff to wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE as we honor the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.
As a Panther family, we come together to remember those we lost, honor the heroes who served, and reflect on the strength and unity shown by our nation.

The Sept. 22 deadline is quickly approaching for required health forms and immunizations.
📌 Incoming Kindergarten students and students who enrolled from out of state must provide their school nurse with:
• A completed NC Health Assessment Form from within the past calendar year
• A copy of their updated immunization record
💉 All 7th and 12th grade students also have required immunizations that must be completed by Sept. 22.

Please contact your school nurse with any questions or to make sure your student’s records are complete.

Panther families, we believe in being transparent about where we are, proud of how far we’ve come, and focused on where we’re going.
Our 2025–2026 school performance data shows encouraging gains across several key areas:
📈 Science Achievement: 59.7 — up 25.2 points
📚 Reading Achievement: 39.0 — up 4 points
⭐ Overall Achievement Score: 42.1 — up 5.3 points
Our current school letter grade is a D, and while we are encouraged by the progress reflected in our data, we know there is more work to do. A letter grade tells part of our story—but it does not define our students, our staff, or where we are headed.
Our focus remains clear: strong instruction, targeted support, data-driven decision-making, meaningful family partnerships, and high expectations for every Panther.
We celebrate the gains. We acknowledge the work ahead. And most importantly, we keep moving forward—together.
Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for continuing to believe in and support Panther Nation. 💙💛
