Mentor of the Year

C.F. Pope Elementary is proud to celebrate 5th Grade Science Teacher, Hannah Falk, for being selected as the Pender County Schools Beginning Teacher Mentor of the Year.

This distinguished recognition is part of a broader regional initiative through the Southeast Education Alliance, where each district selects one mentor educator to represent their schools. Mrs. Falk was chosen from a remarkable group of educators who had previously been recognized throughout the year as either a Mentor of the Month or Pillar of Practice recipient.

Known for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting fellow educators, Mrs. Falk has made a lasting impact on beginning teachers at C.F. Pope Elementary. As part of the selection process, finalists submitted reflections highlighting their mentoring philosophy, instructional support, and the positive influence they have had on new teachers entering the profession. Beginning teachers also shared testimonials describing the guidance, encouragement, and meaningful support they received throughout the school year.

Mrs. Falk’s passion for teaching and mentoring reflects the collaborative culture and excellence found at C.F. Pope Elementary. Her ability to inspire confidence, foster professional growth, and build strong relationships has made her an invaluable resource for both students and staff.

As the district’s selected Mentor of the Year, Mrs. Falk will now move forward to represent Pender County Schools at the regional level through the Southeast Education Alliance. While additional details regarding the next phase of recognition are still forthcoming, the C.F. Pope Elementary family is incredibly proud to have such outstanding representation.

Congratulations, Hannah Falk, on this well-deserved honor and thank you for your continued dedication to empowering both students and educators every day.
