Teachers at C.F. Pope Elementary School are rallying their students to turn pages and log reading minutes as part of the exciting March “Road to the Championship” reading competition across Pender County Schools. 📚🏆

Throughout the month, schools across the district are competing to see which students can read the most minutes. At C.F. Pope Elementary, teachers are encouraging every student—from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade—to read as much as possible each evening and carefully record their minutes.

“We know our students love a challenge,” teachers shared. “Reading a little bit every night can make a big difference, and together we can bring the championship to C.F. Pope!”

Families are asked to support the effort by setting aside time for reading at home. Whether it’s a favorite storybook, a chapter book, or reading together as a family, every minute counts toward the school’s total. ✨

Students are reminded to:

  • Read nightly at home

  • Record their reading minutes at tinyurl.com/CFPreads

  • Get minutes in by Saturday night!

With the support of students, families, and teachers, C.F. Pope Elementary hopes to lead the district in reading and come out on top in the March competition. Let’s keep those pages turning and help Panther Nation be victorious on the Road to the Championship! 📖💙
