This week our Kindergarten-5th grade students will be assessed in mCLASS and STAR Math. Results of their performance will be shared with their progress reports that go will be available for pickup Tuesday, September 23 and sent home on Wednesday, September 24. Increasing our daily attendance rate is still a top priority at C.F. Pope Elementary. While we made great gains last year, our goal is to have a 95% attendance rate daily. We ask that you assist us in making sure that students are present and on time each day. In the event that your child is going to be absent, please make sure that documentation is provided and you have communicated with your child’s teacher the reason for their absence.
Our Annual Title 1 and Curriculum Night will be held Tuesday, September 23 from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. This night will include progress report pick-up, student-led conferences about their work and progress in class, an opportunity for parents that are not yet connected to Rooms to get connected, and a 3rd Grade Parent Meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m. Our Title 1 presentation will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by support with Rooms, and the 3rd Grade Parent Meeting starting at 5:00 p.m. After the Title 1 presentation, parents will be able to visit classrooms.
Our annual CMI Candy Man fundraiser is quickly approaching and will run September 15-30. Be on the lookout for more information coming home with your student soon!

Reminders
Our school’s start time is 7:35 and dismissal time is at 2:35. Students will be received from buses and cars beginning at 7:10. The front office does not open until 7:30. If you report to the car ride lane after 7:30, you will need to drive around to the front entrance. After 7:35 all students must be checked in at the front office by an adult.
Due to safety procedures, parents are not permitted to walk their students to class. Special permission may be granted on an individual basis for parents and students who were impacted by the Kindergarten class changes due to student numbers.Our teachers and staff actively supervise and assist students to get to their classes safely.
We ask that parents who have students that are car riders do not arrive before 2:30 to alleviate cars being backed up on N Wright St. School dismisses at 2:35 and students are prepared to leave campus by car at 2:45. Cones to the car lane should only be moved by school personnel to ensure and maintain the safety of students.
All parents and visitors will be required to present a valid ID for checkout and school visitation.
Any individual checking a student out or visiting the campus must be listed in Infinite Campus.
In our attempt to maximize instructional learning, student checkout will not be permitted after 2:00 p.m. Special circumstances will be evaluated on an individual basis by administration.
