Burgaw, NC- C.F. Pope Elementary School is proud to announce that Principal Brittany Moore has been selected to participate in the prestigious 2025 Global Education Leaders Program, hosted by UNC Chapel Hill’s Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs through UNC World View.
The Global Education Leaders Program brings together a distinguished cohort of current and aspiring K–12 and community college administrators to engage in meaningful dialogue and professional learning around the most pressing global issues facing today’s classrooms and communities. Held from June 18–20 in Chapel Hill, the program is led by renowned university faculty and focuses on developing leadership strategies that promote global awareness and cultural understanding within schools.
Principal Moore’s selection reflects her ongoing commitment to preparing students at C.F. Pope Elementary to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. Her leadership has consistently prioritized equity, inclusion, and excellence in education—values that align directly with the mission of the Global Education Leaders Program.
“Being chosen for this opportunity is both an honor and a responsibility,” said Moore. “I look forward to learning from national experts and fellow educational leaders as we explore innovative ways to empower our students to become globally competent citizens.”
As global awareness becomes a cornerstone of 21st-century learning, Principal Moore’s participation in this program will support C.F. Pope Elementary in continuing to develop a school culture that values diverse perspectives, global connections, and collaborative learning.
