We had a great turnout for our spring band concert last night. Mr. Barnes and our bands performed very well and we are extremely proud of every one of our band students.

The North Carolina Council on Economic Education runs several different financial literacy events each year. Congrats Landon, Sienna, Lacey and Abi for coming in first place in a semester long competition against 500 other middle school teams in a stock market simulation.

Please join us for a conversation about PCS's consideration of a three-tiered bus routing system and how it may affect our bell schedule. Join us Tues., May 23 at Heide Trask HS and/or Wed., May 24 at Topsail HS. Both meetings begin at 6pm in the school auditorium.


We want to give a shout out to our volleyball team. Our season came to an end last night and we know the future is bright for these ladies. Heide Trask is getting a wonderful of group of students next year and we also are returning a great nucleus to build on.





We had a group of students participate in a robotics competition this week. Our team's hard work and effort really showed out. Great job Grizzlies!





Ms. Amy Brodsky of ILM based Alcami spent the day with CFM 6th graders. Ms. Brodsky discussed the history of regulations on medicine and food. Also how medicine goes from an idea to a final product, careers in the pharmaceutical industry & the role of plants in medicine

CFMS students attended a Girls In Technology event hosted by GE demonstrating problem solving, teamwork, and presentation skills. One group of CFMS students placed first in the presentation category.




Friendly reminder about our Family Night: Thursday, May 4th, 5:30-7 pm! Rising 6-8th grade students will engage in activities to learn about the next grade level. All students, including current 8th graders, are invited to enjoy pizza and EOG Bingo. We hope to see you there!
