✂️ Back-to-School Haircuts! ✂️ Cape Fear Community College is offering free haircuts this Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Barber School located at 108 Walnut St. No appointments needed—just walk in! All haircuts will be supervised by a licensed instructor and are first-come, first-served. Remember, students under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Get ready for the new school year with a fresh look!

Good Evening Burgaw Middle School Families, If your child will walk from school to home for dismissal this school year, please see Ms. Carradori at our open house event Wednesday, August 21 from 4:00-600pm. Ms. Carradori will have "BMS Student Walker" permission forms available. Your student will not be allowed to walk home from school without having this form signed by a parent/guardian. The safety of our students is our top priority. Thank you.

We will have family/student orientation meetings in the media center during our open house event. REMINDER! BMS Mandatory Fall Athletics Meeting Where: Burgaw Middle School Media Center When: August 12, 2024 @ 6:00pm What you need to bring with you: A current, up-to-date physical evaluation form. If you did not participate in the free physical event at Heidi Trask High School on May 14, 2024, please bring a current, up-to-date physical evaluation form, or a copy of your current, up-to-date physical evaluation form with you. You may also need to bring insurance information for your student-athlete. This meeting is mandatory for all Fall sports as we transition to a new eligibility system, Student Central. Please join us to learn about the new system and receive information for all Fall sports (Cheerleading, Football, Softball, and Soccer). If you need a physical evaluation for your student-athlete, you can visit FastMed Urgent Care Address: 5214 Market St, Wilmington, NC 28405 Website:https://www.fastmed.com/urgent-care-centers/wilmington-nc-walk-in-clinic/ Physicals are $25.00

Due to flooding, Pender County Schools will be closed for students on 8/9. Penderlea and Pender Early College will continue virtual learning. Staff can report if safe; contact your supervisor if working virtually. All after-school activities are canceled. Stay safe! #OnePender

Due to severe weather, all PCS facilities will close and after-school events are canceled starting at 4 PM today, August 6. This includes schools and admin buildings. Penderlea and Pender Early College students will dismiss on time. Emergency staff will be contacted if needed.
