BMS Parent/Student Orientation Event
When: Wednesday, August 16 @ 5:30pm (Hot Dogs will be served)
Where: Burgaw Middle School Cafeteria
Please join us from 6:00-7:00pm (after having a hot dog) for a Parent/Student Orientation session provided by your BMS administrative team.
We are inviting all rising 6th graders to join us for a campus-wide scavenger hunt!
Hot Dogs will be served at 5:30pm. Please come hungry!

For the 2023-24 school year, PCS will be implementing a program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) which provides breakfast and lunch, at no cost, for students at eligible schools. Eligible schools can be found here - https://www.pender.k12.nc.us/article/1172162
Please use the link below to register for the Summer Bridge program taking place between July 31st-August 4th from 8AM-12:30PM. Breakfast, lunch, and bus transportation will be provided. This is open to all rising 9th and 11th grade students at Pender High School. The 9th grade students will get a small taste of what it means to be in a high school setting through social/emotion learning, writing workshops, and a trip to UNCW. The Juniors will start with the college and career readiness path with an ACT Bootcamp and will also attend the UNCW field trip. Please register with the link below and come out.

Some students went on a career exploration visit to Camp Lejeune MC Base. They learned how important reading, math, computer literacy, public speaking,and hard work are in the military. The Devil Dogs encouraged our Red Devils to study hard, stay fit,& make good choices. OOH-RAH!
Attention Rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders: Are you going to be a Red Devil next year? Then join us for a Transition Night and Band Concert this Tuesday, May 9th. Meet your teachers, explore the campus, and learn about the school's curriculum. Band concert will begin at 6:30pm!!
Mrs. Seri's students read about sea turtles and ocean conservation just in time for Earth Day! Students painted a 15ft long poster and visited The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue Center in Surf City. The trip inspired our Red Devils to keep our Earth clean and free of litter!! 🌎

BMS students and staff participated in a College & Career themed Spirit Week! Last week, hats and sunglasses were worn while students helped teachers with a door decorating contest - way to show some school spirit with a little bit of team work, Red Devils!! 👓👗🎓
