Assistant Principal - Joanna Boyles
Mrs. Boyles was selected as the Pender County Schools recipient for the Pirate Leadership Academy through East Carolina University. At the start of the 2022-2023 school year, Mrs. Boyles began her assignment as Assistant Principal at Topsail Middle School while synchronously participating in the Pirate Fellowship program to earn her Master's in School Administration.
Prior to joining this program, Mrs. Boyles worked as a School Counselor at both Topsail Middle and Topsail High Schools.
Mrs. Boyles and her family moved from West Virginia to North Carolina in the summer of 2018. She lives with her husband, two children, two dogs, two cats, and two bearded dragons. Her and her family are avid outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy being on the water.
Mrs. Boyles earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Concord University, her Master's in Education in School Counseling from Liberty University, and is working on her Master's in School Administration from ECU.
