Principal - Jill Robertson
Greetings NTE Dolphin Families!!
I am proud to serve the North Topsail Elementary School community. I am originally from western Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!) but have lived in North Carolina since ‘99. I have been a part of Pender County Schools for five years - one year as an assistant principal and four years as principal. I also spent 20 years with New Hanover County and Scotland County Schools as a music teacher and assistant principal. I reside in Hampstead and have twin boys that attend NTE, so I am professionally and personally invested in our school community.
NTE opened its doors in 1998 and in the 2023-2023 school year is home to three PreK classrooms, two regional EC classrooms, approximately 625 students and 70 staff members. We also have an active Operation Military Kids Club (OMKC) and military counselor to support our military families as well as an active Student Services Support team.
I am thankful for the support of our parents and community. I truly love coming to work every day and greeting our children and families. The NTE staff that serves our community is kind, caring, and dedicated to offering the best education possible for each child. It is my goal to lead NTE in making decisions that are best for our children and to always help our Dolphins SWIM to success!

Assistant Principal - Kelly Denny
Welcome!
In July 2022, I was appointed as the new Assistant Principal of North Topsail Elementary. I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing school community.
I am originally from New York and have lived and worked in North Carolina since 2006. I have taught second, third, fifth, and Special Education (k-8) in Nash and Wake County. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Iona College in Advertising Communications (education is my second career-long story). I earned my Master's in Elementary and Special Education in 2006 from Sage Graduate School. In 2011, I earned my National Board Certification and completed my renewal in 2020. I am now certified till 2031.
I am married to my husband Aaron, and we are the proud fur parents of two Great Danes, Isla and Isaac. We love to walk on the beach, work on puzzles and just relax. I also love a good nap!
