North Topsail Elementary School was constructed in 1998. At the time, it was one of two elementary schools in Hampstead, North Carolina. In 2009, due to overcrowding at North Topsail Elementary School and South Topsail Elementary, Topsail-Annandale Elementary was re-opened as an elementary school.

Currently, North Topsail Elementary has about 600 students, in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Student success at NTES has always been our focus. For the several years, NTES has been the recipient of a variety of accolades including being named a school of distinction, a school with high growth and most recently a “B” school.
