Heide Trask Senior High School

Tony Hudson, a native of Rocky Point, was named Principal of HTHS in August of 2022. He was previously the principal at WPM, where he served with pride as an administrator for 5 years.

Mr. Hudson earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Wofford College and a Master’s degree from East Carolina University.

Mr. Hudson enjoys all sports and spending time with family. He remains dedicated to supporting the students of Pender County Schools reach their highest potential.

Zandra Daniels, Assistant Principal of Heide Trask High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and graduated with honors from UNC-Pembroke in 2014. Daniels later completed her master’s in school administration in December of 2021 at UNC- Pembroke with summa cum laude.

Daniels's career started as a science teacher and athletic trainer at East Columbus High School from 2015 to 2018. Daniels then later transferred to West Brunswick High School and remained there until being named assistant principal at Heide Trask High.

It is Daniels’s professional goal to generate a safe, caring, and positive learning environment that targets the physical, mental, and social abilities of each student to achieve their goals and expectations. Her personal goal is to create positive relationships in a safe environment in which everyone is accepted for who they are, sharing my knowledge of curriculum and instruction, and being a representative of an upholder.

I was born in Jacksonville, NC at the Naval Hospital/ Camp LeJeune.  After my father served in the Marines we moved back to Ohio.  I previously taught seventh grade Social Studies at Burgaw middle school for almost two years, fourteen years in New Hanover County, and the remaining years in Columbus and Cincinnati, OH.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Malone University, a Master's in curriculum design and educational leadership from Marygrove College.

I enjoy spending time with family, especially my children Gia and William.  I also love watching football and basketball at all levels.  I am a proud supporter of the Browns, Cavaliers, Guardians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.  It is my pleasure to serve the Pender County community.
